  • Georgia Censuses 1810-1890: This collection contains the following indexes: 1790 Tax Substitute Index; 1792-1819 Tax Lists Index; 1800 Oglethorpe County Territorial Census Index; 1820 Federal Census Index; 1830 Federal Census Index; 1838 State Census; 1840 Pensioners List; 1845 State Census Index; 1850 Federal Census Index; 1860 Federal Census Index; 1860 Slave Schedule; 1870 Federal Census Index; 1890 Veterans Schedule.

  • Georgia Land Lottery, 1827: Georgia began in 1805 to offer land to its citizens through lotteries. These lotteries often serve as useful substitutes for the lost federal census returns for the early 1800s in the state. The 1827 lottery dispensed lots in Carroll, Coweta, Lee, Muscogee, and Troup counties. Search this database for thousands of Georgians who were "fortunate drawers" in this unique land dispersal
  • Georgia Cherokee Land Lottery, 1832: This database is a listing of persons allotted land in 1832 from what was considered ""Cherokee Land."" Located in the northeastern part of the state, over 18,500 parcels were distributed by lottery in that year.
  • Land Grants to Georgia Revolutionary War Veterans: This database contains a list of all the veterans who won land in the Third, Fifth, and Sixth Land Lotteries of the state of Georgia.
  • Georgia Marriages, 1699-1944: This database contains marriage information from selected areas of Georgia from 1699-1944.
  • Georgia Marriages to 1850: This database of Georgia marriages to 1850 contains over 165,000 names. Each entry includes groom, bride, marriage date, county, and state. Every name is indexed so you can search for one name, or two names that are linked.
  • Georgia Marriages, 1851-1900: This collection of records contains marriage data from several Georgia counties between 1851 and 1900.
  • Georgia Tax Index, 1789-99: This database reflects some of these realities in late 18th Century Georgia. Listing over 11,500 persons, this database is an index of tax records held by the state government.
  • Index to Georgia Wills: This is an index to the earliest surviving will books of Georgia counties formed before the 1832 Land Lottery.
